Creative Inspiration

I love this children's ribbon belt made by Chantel of My Sunshine Designs using some of the blue and white striped ribbon from my shop and A LOT of talent!! I love the D-ring belts for my little girl b/c they grow with her and are much more adjustable than regular belts. And this one is way sturdier & so much cuter than the flimsy one we have so I'll be buying one soon!

Visit MySunshineDesigns shop for lots of other wonderful creations too!

6x6 Kraft Album

I really enjoyed decorating this 6x6 Kraft Post-bound album for a certain bride-to-be who's wedding colors just happen to be turquoise & brown-- one of my favorite color combos!
Supplies Used:
6x6 Kraft Post-bound album
Sweet Life Paper Pack
Sheer Teal Brown Dot Ribbon
Brown Grosgrain with Teal Dot
Turquoise Paper Flowers inked in brown
Brown ink pad

Visit my shop to purchase the supplies and album or to shop! Happy Scrapp'n!

fast:friday Cinnamon Rollies Recipe

new feature on my blog << fast:friday>> a fast recipe, project, or layout ! ☺

today's fast:friday is a fun little recipe my daughters (ages 16mo and 4yo) & I made up we call

Cinnamon Rollies!

they are:
what could be better?
oh yeah, and yummy too!
Refrigerated Biscuit Tubes (we used two of those small ones that come in a 4 pack for $1)
Use a Rolling Pin to flatter them out (on a floured surface works best) to make long thin ovals.
Spread (or "smear" depending on how much you want the kids to help you) with butter or margarine
Sprinkle generously with brown sugar and cinnamon-sugar
Roll em up
Place in a greased or sprayed cake pan
Bake per instructions-- about 10 minutes at about 350-degrees, until lightly browned

Layered Chipboard Album

Here's another project we'll be making in the summer rec youth scrapbooking class (of course, there will be lots of color choices avail. and also rub-ons to decorate the albums with and lots of fun ribbon styles too!)

I love these thick layered chipboard albums b/c they are not flimsy at all and they hold up so nice! They are covered in scrapbook-safe white paper, so you don't have to cover them completely with ink or paper if you don't want to, and you can even paint them! Plus, I'm just not a big fan of the thin brown chipboard for albums. I love the sweet life, pattern papers, and fun ribbons on this album-- plus the rings make the album even sturdier!

If you are local and want more info on the class, visit the rec website!
