Summer Favorites Layout

Summer is filled with so many special things and memories to be made! I wanted to create a layout to journal about all those precious things that are important in the summertime to me, my kids and my family! I used some of the leftover Journaling tags from a BusyWomen kit to jot down everything that comes to mind when I think of SuMmEr! and my family. I love to scrapbook and layer on the embellishments so this was a fun project for me!

Adornit Page Map Challenge

Here is the layout I made using this fun page map by Becky Fleck as part of the Adornit! Summer Blog Hop and Party! I've only used templates or page maps very rarely, so this was a fun challenge! I made a second page too as I usually work in double-page layouts! (:

Creative Inspiration

I wanted to share this wonderful card made by Ellie of Ellie's Stamp Garden! She used some of the lime green striped ribbon from my shop and she is such a talented stamper~! Visit her blog for more inspiration and instructions on how she made this great card! Don't you love the greens and white?

Layout #7: Page-a-day Week

This is my final layout for the week (gotta get ready for the easter bunny!) but I hope to do this again in a few. This is a fun Summer Calendar layout with the idea and calendar printout from HERE. I love that you can combine all the summer activities onto one double-page layout, so I pulled out the old 08 calendar and marked my printout up! I think I should do this for every season, it makes catch-up pages easy and fun!

Layout #6: Page-a-day Week

I had a lot of fun with this double-page layout and pictures of our family from this past summer. I loved using the golds, creams, and browns on these pages. The memories page kit was fun and easy-to-use with the included coordinating papers and stickers all together and ready to go! 12x12 Layout #3: Page-a-day Week

Today I'm showing a double-page layout I just made with some family photos from a few mos ago. It's always fun trying to get that "perfect" family photo... and I wanted to make a layout showing all the pictures, not just "the one"! (: We have a lot of laughter in our family so it was a fun day! 12x12 Layout #1: Page-a-day Week

I've been a bad blogger...so I'm trying to redeem myself with a page-a-day blogging week... (:

I finally got a little time to do some scrapbooking just-for-fun! (: I've had the idea in my head for awhile to do a fun little layout combining black & brown so I did just that! These are some pics of my daughter in the backyard (over the past 1-1/2 yrs. we've had our backyard tore up sev. times due to electrical and plumbing repairs-- so there has been a lot of dirt and mud to play in!) with mud on her hands! I'm sure she was watering the new grass seeds, or just watering the dirt a fav. thing of hers last summer! (:

my model

My daughter (she just turned 4) has been "helping" me take pictures of new items to put on my etsy shop, and she particularly likes to help w/ the ribbons...she's a big fan, as am I! (: She usually gives them funny voices and personalities too...but that's beside the point. I had her hold some sheer ribbon in her hand so I could get a good picture of it, and that's where the "model" thing came in...now she loves being my hand-model when I take the pictures.







I'm not sure if these pictures will make it into the listings or not, not sure if the pink nail polish w/ blue sparkles will deter any shoppers... so I'm posting them here to see what you think & so all her hard work modeling doesn't go to waste! (:

And this is what my 1-year-old likes to do when mommy is trying to take pictures... hehe, then I get to use the paper for myself! (:

It's great to be an at-home mom b/c I get to be with my kids all the time and I really do (no jokes) like my daughters help with the biz (: It's great to have this time with them and I am so happy for it! --Janelle
